Murray, Robert E. "Bob", 81, of Richmond, passed away on Friday, June 29. Robert was born December 13, 1930 in the Hell's Kitchen area of New York City. He served in the U.S. Army in Panama and Puerto Rico from 1948 to 1955. Robert was employed by Honeywell Farms, Jamaica NY for 35 years. He retired in 1992 at the age of 62. He was an avid baseball fan, always watching a game, no matter what teams were playing. He also enjoyed reading and working on jigsaw puzzles. Bob was a gentle and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his daughter Doreen Murray (Horowitz) and her husband Paul Horowitz, of Richmond, his son Robert Murray of Wyckoff NJ, granddaughters Nicole Bryner (Josh), Danielle Tullis (Mark), Katherine "Katie" Murray, grandsons Brian Murray, Christopher Murray, Sean Murray and great-granddaughter, Abby Tullis.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 2 at 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Virginia, 1700 Bayberry Court, Richmond, VA 23226
