DeJong, Doris Jones, 84, of Sandston, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman A. DeJong; parents, Susie M. and Edward T. Jones; daughter, Rose M. Ferguson. Doris retired from American Tobacco Co. She is survived by her son, Joseph W. Ferguson, Jr. and his wife, Teresa P.; only grandchild, Michelle L. Wright; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18 from 2 -4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 11 AM in the Nelsen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 911, Sandston, VA 23150.
